It's beyond the realms of my understanding how two people who love eachother can't get married just because they are the same sex. This ridiculous attitude of politicians makes me sick. I give you 100% backing with this.

I'm proud to say that here in Northern Ireland we were the first in the UK to allow same-sex marriages.

I hope this is in the right place.

I give you as much support as I can through the internet. We in Massachusetts are some of the only people to allow it in the US, and our president is trying his damnedest to take away what we voted for. I think it's insane that people want to preserve the "sanctity" of marriage when I know gay couples who've been together for 35 years, and straight marriages that've lasted 8 hours.

Good luck.

You've got my support too! I can't believe of all the things these 'Higher Powers' could be concentrating on they decide to try and pass this stupid law! If two people love each other then they should be allowed to express that love through a union. Hell, most heterosexual marriages only last 3 years tops now anyway, how can they insist that that is the 'true' way?

Equal rights doesn't mean equal for a select few, it means EVERYONE dammit! Sorry, getting carried away.

You have my support!

quite. and furthermore, how can they maintain that SSM "erodes family values"?? how many straight marriages these days end in divorce, broken homes, single mothers struggling to bring up kids alone, bitter custody battles, confused and alienated children? and how does SSM threaten straight marriage and the so-called "traditional" nuclear family? the answer is that it doesn't; it's just an excuse. notice that the pope lumps it all together with contraception? what's next then - the U.S. and Canadian government will declare contraception illegal, and we all have to go back to having 13 children?

newsflash: right-wing agendas and fundie religious hysteria erodes family values and weakens the connections that make the human race strong and unified.
